Preston Consulting specializing in international sports communications
The world is our backyard... and yours...
We’re proud to have made history and to be able to create exposure for our clients no matter where on the planet they host their events.
In 2011, Preston Consulting promoted the first ever game of American college football played on the African continent, positioning the Global Kilimanjaro Bowl within national media outlets in the United States, Tanzania and Mexico. The Tanzanian Tourist Board recognized the value of the Global Football-produced 45-minute documentary that aired on CBS Sports Network with its prestigious annual media and broadcast award.
In the summer of 2012 we generated blanket media coverage in Dublin for the Global Ireland Football Tournament and drove attendance past the 12K park for a high school American football event on foreign soil.
In 2010 we returned to Japan for a third time, to work with legendary American football head coach Lou Holtz and former players from the University of Notre Dame and we have worked with clients and media in China (NFL International), Japan (Global Football), Australia (IFAF), Europe (Global Football and IFAF) and of course the United States and UK.
CEO Michael Preston has served as Vice President of Communications for the United Football League, has worked as a member of the NFL public relations team at Super Bowls since 1998, held the position of Managing Director of the International Federation of American Football and is an accomplished sports writer.
A native of Birmingham, England, Preston was the Assistant Director of Public Relations for NFL Europe, based in London, from 1997 to 2002. Like many international fans of the game, he first discovered a love for American football when the sport came to prominence in the 1980s, and he became a fan of and press officer for the Birmingham Bulls of the British American Football Association.
As a journalist, he was a sports editor for Mirror Group Newspapers and has written for major national and regional titles on both sides of the Atlantic.

"I have had the pleasure of working with Mike Preston since 1997, the first time I produced an NFL event at Super Bowl, and have always been impressed with his planning, execution, follow-up and ability to adjust. My events are often a bit ‘outside the box’, and Mike is eager to charge into the projects and provide valuable input as well as service."
