Preston Consulting                             specializing in international sports communications
Recent news and upcoming Preston Consulting events...
Monday, November 21, 2011... CBS Sports Network, which is seen in more than 44 million homes and available to 98 million households, will air the Global Kilimanjaro Bowl documentary highlighting the first ever American college football game played on African soil featuring Drake University and the CONADEIP All-Stars from Mexico at 7pm tonight.
December 17, 2011... The CONADEIP All-Stars triumphed 45-27 over Team Stars & Stripes, drawn from 28 D-III colleges in the United States, in front of a close to capacity crowd at El Tempo del Dolor (Temple of Pain) in Puebla.

After the visiting Americans raced to a 14-0 lead early in the game, their Mexican hosts scored 38 unanswered points to take control of the game. Team Stars & Stripes gained some offensive momentum in the fourth quarter but two late touchdowns were not enough to make a dent on the final outcome.
January 2012... Preston Consulting coordinated the creation of video and written content for the International Federation of American Football from January 8-11 to promote the International Session of speakers at the 89th annual AFCA Convention in San Antonio, TX.

Shinzo Yamada (IBM Big Blue, Japan), Warren Craney (York University, Canada) and our friend from the Global Kilimanjaro Bowl Chris Creighton (Drake University) all spoke at the International Session.
50 international players on the IFAF World Team and a further 60 on the IFAF Development Team gathered in Austin, Texas for the third annual International Bowl on Wednesday, February 1, at the Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex.

The World Team secured a famous victory 35-19 over USA Football's U-19 National Team live on CBS Sports Network.

I can't deny it, this line of business has its perks and few compare with working the Super Bowl for NFL International.
Had a great time seeing media, colleagues and my friends in the international broadcast booths, particularly the ever-hospitable Russians from NTV.
Here we are in July already... where has 2012 gone?

Since the dust settled on Super Bowl XLV (as the wrong team won) we have been busy with a new venture in helping the Boston Victory Soccer Club promote their inaugural 2012 Premier Development League season, and have been fully focused on creating buzz around the Global Ireland Football Tournament (GIFT) 2012.

That meant a great visit to Dublin, Trim and Limerick back in June when the Irish media got a taste of what is to come at Donnybrook Stadium, Parnell Park and Pairc Tailteann on August 31.
July took us to Austin for the 2012 IFAF Under-19 World Championship of American Football, which saw Canada make history by defeating the United States to win the Gold Medal, while Japan claimed Bronze and Austria finished fourth among the eight teams.

And be sure to follow along at the end of August when Preston Consulting joins forces with Global Football to bring Irish American Football fans the spectacular GIFT 2012 event.
Traveling with Global Football and working Patrick Steenberge's events is always enjoyable and the 2012 Global Ireland Football Tournament was no exception.

12 teams, 6 games, 3 venues, vociferous crowds, a parade that brought Dublin City Centre to a standstill, 2,000 people at a Pep Rally, practices at UCD, front page newspaper headlines and national TV and radio shows... the list goes on.

After two fantastic weeks in Ireland we were sad to leave, but now on to planning for next year and before that, Mexico for the annual Tazon de Estrellas in December.
