The PR initiatives deployed by Preston Consulting have resulted in an increase in media coverage of 160%. Prominent US and international media outlets that have featured the NFL Global Junior Championship include: USA Today, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, NFL Network, Miami Herald, Houston Chronicle, Florida Times Union, Detroit Free Press, San Diego Union Tribune, National Public Radio, Sports Illustrated, ESPN Radio, SIRIUS Radio, NHK (Japan), TV Azteca, Univision, Rogers Cable (Canada), Toronto Star, Montreal Gazette.

The NFL Global Junior Championship was featured in the Super Bowl XLI game day program (circulation 900,000) for a fourth consecutive year in 2007. A live satellite feed of the tournament was made available to international broadcasters for the first time in 2006.

By targeting improvements to Internet coverage of the event, elements such as live audio streaming, access to live statistics, game recaps and action photographs have enhanced a fan-orientated website, which also acts as a media resource and is maintained by Preston Consulting.

Key components in the successful consultancy include professionally staged press conferences, expertly written press releases, strategic pre-publicity, media relationship management and week of event execution.

Testimonials:

“How could we not cover this event? We received press releases every day of Super Bowl week and knew what was happening days, weeks, even months before.”  - Jeff Prosser, Presenter, Channel 12 First Coast News.

“While it's tough to capture any significant attention for any event (other than the game, and maybe Paul McCartney or Emmitt Smith's retirement), I think the publicity stood above most of the other events. Early promotion, especially before Super Bowl week, to create awareness was effective.” Cole Pepper, WOKV Radio.

“I probably saw more of Mike Preston than anyone else during Super Bowl because I covered so many of his events. I didn’t know there could be so many things happening around one football tournament.”  - Mike Kaminski, Cameraman, Channel 12 First Coast News.

“Mike Preston has done a fantastic job. He really knows football, more than a lot of people I’ve been around, and he really knows how to generate publicity. He got me so excited about the Global Junior Championship; I started arranging interviews on my own!”  - LeRoy Butler, Honorary Chairman, ex-Green Bay Packers Pro Bowl safety.

“I wish every PR guy I deal with was this thorough and provided this much information. He has been a pleasure to work with.” - Chase Goodbread, sports writer, Florida Times Union.

“We very much appreciated your efforts. We were really able to check our angles, our assignments and even gave the cameramen some challenges with formations.  Consider yourselves hired for Super Bowl XLII in Arizona.” - Artie Kempner, Producer, FOX Television
