Preston Consulting has generated national and regional television, radio and print media coverage of teams representing the United States in Vancouver, Beijing and Cologne, increasing media revenue from approximately $76,000 in 2004 to $140,000 in 2005 and $165,000 in 2006. The NFL Flag Football World Championship has featured on ESPN magazine show Cold Pizza, ESPN News, regional New York and Miami TV news channels, Miami Herald, New York Daily News and NFL.com.
In meeting the challenge of how to publicize the American angle of this core NFL grassroots event and also service international media, Preston Consulting designed a PR template to generate significant pre-event media interest in the United States and executed a successful week of event strategy from the host cities.
On the home front media were invited to feature the youngsters representing the United States while on the practice field, throwing the first pitch at a Florida Marlins Major League Baseball game, attending a movie premiere in New York City and while receiving good luck messages from players and coaches at New York Jets and Miami Dolphins training camps.
From Vancouver, Beijing and Cologne, Preston Consulting maintained a fan-orientated website, provided timely news updates, photographs, results, recaps, broadcast quality video footage and live interviews for US media and also outlets in Austria, Canada, China, Germany, Holland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Spain and Thailand.
